Decorated in relief to both sides, the front with a clear cartouche of shield shape surrounded by a flowering chrysanthemum, to the reverse a bird in a flowering prunus bush, each side in register with the design continuing on the lid. marked to the inside face with a Chinese character for silver and stamped 85. Possibly by Wang Hing Canton . c1900
