Probably carved in boxwood then lacquer applied and gilt finish. the panel shows a ritual blessing of a child with its father, before an altar behind which stands an immortal and to the margins stand two other immortals and their associated symbols of longevity i.e. the deer at the left edge. Framed in late Victorian Hogarth style 19th Century
